Adega Condes de Albarei was established in 1988 by several enthusiastic vine growers from the Salne9s Valley, who dreamed about making top-quality Albarif1o wines. The winery soon became a point of reference within the "Redas Baixas" Designation of Origin.In 1991, Condes de Albarei was awarded the gold medal at Bordeaux's Challenge International du Vin. This prize, the first one obtained by a Spanish white wine, helped the winery to internationalise its wines, selling them in a wide range of markets in countries such as Britain, the United States, Mexico or Japan.It was in the year 2008 that Condes de Albarei purchased the Pazo Baif3n winery, undertaking an important vinicultural and wine-tourism project.Adega Condes de Albarei makes highly renowned wines with Albarif1o grapes, a variety with a great aromatic expression and long tradition of cultivation in the Salne9s Valley.
