Semper was conceived as a love letter to express enduring faithfulness. Cultivated in a distnct region of the Sonoma Coast appellation, we believe that wines produced in this area have a rare and collectible quality that will only increase in value over time. During the growing season the vineyard experiences bright sunshine during the day but is subject to a cool blanket of fog that hugs the coastline, creating the ideal conditions for that perfectly slow ripening. Miles north of San Francisco is a distinct corner of the Sonoma Coast appellation known for cool ocean breeze, limited water access, and the presence of the great spotted owl. During the growing season the vineyard experiences bright sunshine during the day but is often subject to the cool blanket of the fog that hugs the coastline. Because of this, temperatures rarely drop too low or rise above 85 degrees, creating the ideal conditions for that perfect slow ripening.
