Goose Island Brewing

Goose Island Brewery, named after a nearby island, is a beer brewery located in Chicago, Illinois, founded by a man named John Hall. It had opened as a single brewpub in 1988 in Lincoln Park, Illinois. The brewery itself opened in 1996 and a second brewpub was opened in 1995 in Wrigleyville, Illinois. Anheuser Busch purchased the brewery in 2011 and Brett Porter is now the current brewmaster.

Goose Island Beer

Goose Island uses 32 fermenters, 15 different kinds of yeast, and a 50 barrel JV Northwest 5 vessel system to brew every beer. One of their most known brews is called Goose IPA, which is flavored with citrus aromas and a bold hoppy finish. This beer had won the medal at the Great American Beer Festival six different times. Some of their other most known beers are 312 Urban Wheat Ale, Honkers Ale, Bourbon County Brand Stout, and Green Line Pale Ale.
