This Balvenie 25-Year-Old is the first of a series of prestige long-aged Balvenies: the Rare Marriages range. Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE brings together individual casks that have matured in Traditional American and European Oak to craft an incredibly intricate and balanced expression; exemplifying the art and skill of Single Malt TUN marriages. Aromas of soft autumn fruits, runny honey, crystalised ginger and raw sugar cane. An underlying rich oakiness creates complexity and structure. The initial bold vanilla oak flavours slowly dissipate to reveal layers of toasted marshmallow, fresh fruit and cinnamon infused apple tart. The finish has an exceptionally long-lasting sweetness.
