High West Rendezvous Rye is High West's flagship whiskey, a blend of older straight rye whiskeys ranging in age from 4 to 7 years. Bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof).

A Marriage of Two Straight Ryes

Almost every other straight rye on the market barely meets the legal requirement with 51 to 53% rye in the mash bill. Rendezvous honors the way rye whiskey used to be made, blending a 95% rye, 5% malted barley whiskey from MGP with High West's own 80% rye, 20% malted rye, matured in new, charred white American oak barrels for a full, uncompromised rye flavor.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: cinnamon stick, clove, vanilla, peppermint, caramelized sugar, and dried fruit.
• Palate: very spicy, with cinnamon, crisp mint, and fennel, underlying sweet notes of caramel, molasses, vanilla, macaroon, cocoa, and candied fruit.
• Finish: huge rye spice, cinnamon, orange rind, and vanilla that lingers for ages.

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat to take in its full spice and complexity, or use it as a bold, flavorful base for rye-forward cocktails.
