Thus resulting in a wine with deep shades, aromas that range from stony and earthy, of dark fruits to delicate accents of rosemary, open mouthed, almost feminine and deliciously sour. Quimera is heuristic; it is personal discovery and the search of perfection.

With vineyards planted in 1910, 1921 and 1950, and at 730-1110m above sea level, the wines’ potential is set in the vineyard and the team remains focused on terroir. Achaval Ferrer also has a state-of-the-art winery, located in Perdriel, Mendoza, Argentina. The winemaking philosophy at Achaval Ferrer is based on three key pillars: century-old ungrafted vines, deliberately low yields, and low intervention winemaking.
