The Wisdom Vineyard was first planted to Cabernet Sauvignon in 1965. 60 years later, the estate grown vineyard contains the second planting established in 2005. The site and clone selection (Clone 4) lends great concentration and character. Winemaker Montse Reece gives her utmost attention with aging in French Oak for two years, releasing it a year later which elevates and enhances the wine. Rich aromas of blackberry, warm baking spices and mocha notes lead to the ripe flavors of dark berries and notes of dried green herbs and cedar oak notes with a touch of minerality. Woven throughout are rounded tannins with medium acidity and a long, rich finish. With reserve-style complexity and depth, enjoy now or cellar for an another 10 years.

Pedroncelli Winery was founded by Giovanni & Giulia Pedroncelli in 1927 when they purchased 25 acres of vineyard, a home and a shuttered winery (mid Prohibition). They farmed and sold the grapes until Repeal and now four generations of Pedroncellis call this home. Located in Geyserville, the family now farms 100 acres of grapes (Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon chiefly among 9 varieties), and produces 50,000 cases of wine, all grown, harvested, aged and bottled at the winery nestled in the eastern hills of the Dry Creek Valley. Now women owned, the winery is led by President Julie Pedroncelli St. John and winemaker Montserrat Reece has been making wine for 17 vintages and counting.
