Bootleggers Knuckle Sandwich

Bootleggers Knuckle Sandwich

Knuckle Sandwich DIPA is an American Style Double IPA. This is a beer that truly lives up to its name! Brewed with copious amounts of North American hops, this Double IPA has a colossal hop profile and an aggressive aroma. Helping round out the floral and citrus notes is a huge malt backbone that provides a great mouth feel to this heavyweight hitter.

Understand, love Bootleggers' beers. Unfortunately, this usually great DIPA had a born on date four months old and it had gone off. I can assure you, having had this from the tap several times, that it doesn't usually taste stale and syrupy but in this case, it was undrinkable. It's a shame to dump beers that, with shipping cost roughly $7.50 a can, but no beer is better than bad beer and this one was several weeks past drinkable.

This is a great IPA. Due to the strong malt backbone this one is not as bitter and hides the 10% abv very well.
