Constructed in 1890 at Plantation Versailles, the Versailles still is primarily composed of greenheart wood, an evergreen almost exclusively found in Guyana which is treasured as one of the densest, most durable woods on the planet. After moving to the Enmore Estate, followed by the Uitvulgt Estate, the Versailles still eventually made its way to the Diamond Distillery where it has been producing its unique rum ever since.
