It is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave in partnership with the respected distillery operating under NOM 1109. The mature agave is traditionally cooked in stone and brick ovens before extraction through a roller mill. Fermentation takes place in wooden tanks using deep-well water before the tequila is distilled twice. The reposado tequila is first rested in oak barrels to develop its foundational agave and wood character. It is then finished in barrels previously used to mature Barolo, the celebrated red wine of Italy’s Piedmont region. The wine-cask finish introduces additional red-fruit character, gentle tannins and refined spice. Cooked agave and oak remain central, supported by subtle cherry, vanilla and earthy notes. Bottled at 80 proof, or 40% alcohol by volume, this limited experimental release offers collector appeal and a distinctive sipping experience.
