In 1805, Henri Louis Pernod founded the first French Absinthe Distillery in Pontarlier. From the first Maison Pernod-Fils distilleryto the infamous absinthe ban, La Belle Epoque to the re-discoveryof the original recipe, the rich history of the Maison Pernod spans more than two centuries. Almost one century after being prohibited, andafter two years of research, Pernod recreates its distillery in Thuir and relaunches the original recipe 'Recette Traditionnelle' inspired by a 19th century
