The new toasted staves reenergize the aging process, creating flavors full of caramel and dark vanilla and colors that radiate amber and warm chestnut. Smooth caramel and rich toasted coconut. Nutty flavors of hazelnut and pecan meld perfectly with vanilla and caramel.
Our spirit flows from a spring house, built in 1909, at Maryland’s Sagamore Farm – naturally filtered spring water, fed from a limestone aquifer. The same water that fuels our champion thoroughbreds also cuts the rich spice of our rye, creating a spirit as revolutionary as America’s risk-takers and history-makers. Our story is one of passion, of old meeting new, and crafting a timeless American whiskey.
A BIT ABOUT OUR RYE WHISKEY- We are proud to call Baltimore our home and since April 2017, have been distilling and aging our proprietary straight rye whiskey from our distillery on Baltimore’s waterfront. It takes 4 years to get to the perfect taste so stay tuned! But we wanted to share our Maryland-style rye whiskey before our distillery was built. So we asked our friends in Indiana to distill our two different proprietary mash bills for us. They make great whiskies out there and we couldn’t be prouder of the product. Once the whiskey is aged, it’s shipped to our Maryland distillery in barrels and our distilling team proofs it with Sagamore Farm spring water, before hand-bottling and labeling each one
