This limited-edition release revisits "The Colossus of Nose," an unforgettable 1980s billboard campaign that cleverly played on the grandeur of The Macallan's signature aroma.
Encased in a beautifully designed, book-shaped box, Folio 8 includes a special commemorative booklet filled with vintage advertisements, anecdotes, drawings, and photographs, along with exclusive digital content. This edition pays homage to the brand's heritage and the creative mindsÑÆDavid Holmes and Nick SalamanÑÆwho brought The Macallan's essence to life.
The whisky itself is a stunning natural terracotta hue, inspired by the roof tiles of Jerez de la Frontera, where The Macallan's cask journey begins. It boasts a rich, aromatic profile with golden sultanas, ripe dates, sweet berry compote, toffee brittle, lemon peel, cinnamon, and a touch of anise. The palate is layered with sweet raisins, sultanas, ginger, citrus zest, toffee, and sweet oak, leading to a long, complex finish with warm oak spices.
Crafted by Whisky Maker Steven Bremner, Folio 8 is drawn from The Macallan's finest European sherry-seasoned oak casks, embodying the depth and character that define the brand.
