Westward Whiskey Milestone, Edition No. 4 is the fourth release in Westward's annual Milestone series, an American single malt whiskey drawn from their twenty-one-barrel Solera system. Each year's Milestone captures that Solera at a single moment in its evolution, and it can never be repeated. Bottled at 57% ABV (114 proof), it's a deeper, more mature expression of Westward's Portland, Oregon single malt.

A Whiskey Inspired by Cognac and Armagnac

This year's Milestone was created by Westward's blending expert, Miles Munroe, and draws on the traditions of Cognac and Armagnac. With new casks added to the Solera, most of this year's whiskey underwent secondary maturation in Hungarian oak and large French Armagnac casks. Hungarian oak bridges the spice of French oak with the sweetness of American oak, while Armagnac casks carry in richer, earthier character than most brandy barrels. Together they give Edition No. 4 a deeper, more layered structure than previous Milestone releases.
